I’m not exactly sure what kind of wood it is, but it really doesn’t matter. It’s extremely light, actually partially sanded which I was amazed at, only ordered it because I have a pre-wired pickguard, but this will be an excellent body to paint. I would definitely recommend this. I forgot what I paid somewhere around $30. I can’t make them for that so this will be a wonderful guitar body for somebody.
