I ordered and (blessedly) received this three-sided toothbrush within forty-eight hours, and I'm not a Prime member. I mention this because either the manufacturer or the distributor is aware how urgent a matter of dental health can be. I can't thank enough whoever was responsible.Once in my hands, I found the item overpriced and not impressive. It's too lightweight. I developed a very serious case of mandibular lockjaw after an extraction (I'm over sixty). Because I'm simultaneously dealing with a life-challenging issue also oral in nature, eating has become only part of the problem. Not being able to open my locked jaw to brush behind my teeth had me resorting to ninety-degree hand tools covered in tissue, or QTips bent as best I could bend them, just not to feel like a poor little companion animal. At least our dogs and cats don't know that they go to sleep every night without clean teeth and breath.I'm a vegetarian who currently eats only pureed produce. Puree rather than juice is important if you have significant issues opening your mouth. Although I assume this is true no matter what your age, I believe it is *vitally* important for seniors. Anyone who eats fruits and vegetables, pureed or not, will know that particles can stick to your teeth as easily as regular dental plaque.I hadn't made up my mind to use the toothbrush because I was so unimpressed visually with it and also because it *is* overpriced. It was the only such item available on Amazon not advertised for children, however, and so I held up the three-sided brush to a piece of paper to see if its power would even move dust from a dry surface. To my deep surprise, the soft bristles vibrated (on the "clean" setting), enough so that I decided I had to give the brush a chance. To say I was stunned at the level of reach and also of cleaning the brush did for me--an old person who presently can't open my mouth to anywhere near a normal degree-- Let's just say that I owe the past week outside an emergency room to this device. The loss of control felt by anyone, whether the parent of an autistic child, an adult with grave mouth injuries, or a senior such as myself flirting with too much weight loss, when teeth can't be cleaned... This simply can't be put into words.I write many many reviews here. I've written one or two that have been necessarily personal. I have never written a review more personal than this. Yes, the charge time is a pain in the neck. I would infinitely have preferred the choice of replaceable batteries as a power source. Yes, the buzzing sounds are truly distracting. But I recommend this brush without reservations because it seemed too flimsy to accomplish what I paid for-- But it DID.
