When I first got this 11 days ago, I used it to slice some beef to make jerky... the slicer works quite well, but getting it apart to clean it was quite challenging. The manual has no instructions on how to remove the blade cover, so I watched some youtube videos for other slicers and worked out the process. The blade cover was stuck in there to the point I couldn't remove it. I eventually got it open using 2 offset spatulas, and now that I have removed it a dozen times, it's getting a bit easier. It still takes prying to get it off, but I have worked out the issue (mostly). The manual is very bad! It was for the wrong model, and doesn't really have any instructions you can follow... the grammar is definitely all wrong to the point that it's difficult to understand... written in another language and translated to English by someone who only had a cursory understanding of the language. The product is quite easy to use, but you need a very thin pry tool to get the blade cover off, a Phillips screwdriver to remove the blade for cleaning, and a wrench to remove the slicing tray... cleaning it is a PAIN!I have yet to sharpen the blade, it hasn't needed it, but I do appreciate the built-in sharpener... again, no real instructions on how to use it, but YouTube has some videos on the process.I'm glad I bought it (now), but wasn't too happy when I first got it.
