Bought this case for a GRG121DX Ibanez guitar. Basically a RG Style 24 fret guitar. The build quality of the case is very good and the fit is excellent. Less than 1/2 inch of room in any direction to slide around inside the case. Two decent storage compartments on either side of the neck to keep strings and accessories. Probably not enough room for a cord. I did leave the case open for a few days due to a strong smell of adhesives which to some might be a bonus. It was definitely newly made and that scent has definitely weakened since. I also have a Gator case for my ukulele. High quality of stuff in my opinionI recently bought a MIM P-Bass and needed something to protect my investment. Not exactly an exact fit, but I usually keep a rag to wipe it down afterwards. I have the rag folded up in the corner to keep my bass from moving around. Perfect for weekend gigs!It won't fit the BC Warlock w/ widow headstock that I bought it for, but it's very nice and half the cost of the others of comparable quality. It's my fault for not measuring since the seller did post the interior dimensions. So, I'll keep it for another guitar and keep searching a for a bigger one.Was a bit hesitant because of the price. Just seemed like to good a deal, I waspleasantly surprised. Great case well built!!Looks like many years of service built into this caseMy Gretch 5622T FITS PERFECTLY!!! Very happy. This is not my first Gator ABS case. I love the case for my acoustic guitar. This case for an E335 style semi-hollow-body guitar protects well and I expect to use it for many years. However, I find it a bit thicker than needed. The photo shows the Gator case on the left at 6.5 inches thick and an Epiphone case at 5 inches. Both cases hold identical guitars. The Gator also requires more force to close which makes me wonder how much pressure is being put on the guitar. It also and must be flat to close properly so you can't just pop it open to get something out of the storage area.$150 is not a lot to invest in a decent and better protection medium for my guitar, the hard case is not super study but It will probably endure a couple of drops (not that I will ever let it happen), and the inside provides good movement absorption, but the lock is absolute trash, I didn't even know it had a lock, but it's pretty bad, the key got bent after once used, good thing it comes with two. It barely fits my 70s squire, but that also means less movement on the inside. Overall I'm happy with my affordable case. This is better than just using a soft case or leaving it on my stand. On a few websites it states this fits a PRS SE277. It's long enough but the lower bout sides do not fit like a glove, it must be pushed down to be laying flat. It works barely. Supports it well and has a lot of nice padding.Pay attention to the description. This case is designed to fit a Les Paul style SINGLE cutaway guitar specifically. If that's what you're looking for this case fits like a glove and does a great job.I ordered this case for my son's Ibanez Artcore AMV10A as recommended using the Gator website. The case arrived packaged in a giant plastic bag, taped to the shape of the case. Upon opening, I noticed there were scuffs and scrapes on various parts of the case - some on the studs it stands on but some along the silver trim that runs around the join. Immediately I was unimpressed - it looked like the case had been a customer return.I decided to inspect the case in more detail and noticed gaps between the silver trim and the main body of the case where you could see through rendering the contents case exposed to the elements in places. The case doesn't shut particularly well and looks like the hinges have been strained so the case 'clanks' when closing as the two halves realign.Additionally, the padding in the case doesn't appear glued in a number of places and the channel to lay the neck weren't quite central/symmetrical.Overall, for a case to described as deluxe, it fell way short of my expectations - no idea how bad the economy version is! As ever, Amazon were great with their return and refund policy but it's back to drawing board for me in terms of finding a suitable case.I purchased this case I recently bought a Mexican telecaster and diddn't trust my gig bag to protect it. I have owned gator cases before so When I saw this was on sale for £59 instead of £75 I jumped to the opportunity. There were some cheaper cases I found but most of them were a curved shape specific to each guitar model and I wanted something more universal to throw any of my guitars in. The cheaper cases all seemed to be made of wood, Whether wood is better or not for protection I am unsure as I know most high end cases are wooden but this heavy duty ABS seems like a no brainer to me.The case is really robust and seems really durable. I don't know if its on the level that id want to throw it on a plane but it wouldn't surprise me if after doing so it remained intact. The case is really light too despite its rigidity which is a big plus since most of the weight when you are carrying it comes from the guitar itself. The case has a tag on top to write any contact details if it was lost (although a good idea I do wish it was removable as it is glued on) and on the side a simple gator logo. Around the case you'll find a strong carrying handle and 3 clips to hold the case closed, one of which is lockable with the included 2 keys. Inside the case everything is perfectly lined with a soft, black, fur-like material. While the moulding inside is firm and holds its shape very well there is still some flexibility if things don't fit perfectly as I could when trying my Schecter Omen Extreme FR in this case. The headstock of this guitar is slightly longer than most but with a bit of pressure everything squeezed in firmly. My Telecaster however was slightly different, the body is slightly shorter than the common Strat shape so the body had some free space to move (only an inch or so) up and down, not horizontally though as the neck is held firmly in place. This isn't a massive issue since the inside is so well padded but if you plan to use this with just one guitar check the inner dimensions listed on the product page. Also inside there are some pockets for some cables, strings, straps, capos or whatever it is that you carry with you which is a nice touch.Overall a great buy and I strongly recommend this case especially if you just want a one fits all type deal. Even if this case was not on sale I still would have picked it up and been just as happy with it as I am now. Yes there are cheaper cases but I guarantee you won't be getting the robust strength and quality. My large Gretsch hollow body needs to get looked at. I acquired this travel case to take it to the repair shop and I'm quite happy with what I ordered. The case looks like your fairly standard travel case. The outside is pretty hard and quite solid. Something built to take a good knock or two. The actual weight of the thing is as expected, quite heavy and even more so with the guitar in it. I didn't have a problem with the clasps. It opened right up, the guitar fit in quite snuggly and closed without a problem.I was a little concerned that it was going to smoosh my tremolo bar as it is a very snug fit, as mentioned above. But it seems to be okay with it tucked in behind the bridge. There was no rocking around when the case was in motion and no bumps were had. I really can't complain.I obviously can't say whether this travel case is good for serious gigging, especially travel that involves the questionable package handlers at airports. But it was perfect for what I needed it for and I can't complain.Bought this for my new SG style Vintage VS6 in the full knowledge that only the specified interior "body" length was shorter than that of my guitar, half an inch in fact. But, already having two other Gator GCs, albeit differing models, I was keen to stick with a known and trusted brand. Also, exhaustive searching failed to find a viable, hard body alternative from any other brand.Surely enough, on arrival, the measurement in question proved both accurate and problematic, but, with a little tweaking using a rubber mallet, short length of 2" x 1/2" wood and a cloth (tea towel) to protect the interior lining, I was able to compress the relevant area of the underlying foam moulding (molding) without causing any visible, exterior damage.A bit of a pain, but worth the effort to achieve what is pretty much a perfect fit.A suggestion to Gator: It wouldn't hurt to modify the design specifications so as to incorporate that little extra space in order to accommodate more brands of SG style guitars. There are, for instance, a lot of Vintage VS6 users out there who would love to have a viable hard body case, but are forced to compromise and use only soft cases and bags.Such a "notified" modification would surely mean more Gator sales.PS: Excellent quality product!I bought this as the nearest fit for a Gretsch Electromatic Jet G5220. The internal dimensions given are spot on, and the Gretsch is marginally bigger than a Les Paul in some places. However, the foam insert is of pretty solid construction and there is little or no wiggle room, which is a good thing. So, after removing the two screws from the side which help secure the lower foam insert and gently prising out the foam, it is possible to carefully peel back the fur. Then after marking the foam with the guitar outline, some surgery is done with a scalpel. Replace the fur, tuck neatly back down between the foam and the outer ABS case and voila, custom fit.I would say this case is easily as well made as the USA Fender case I have for my Stratocaster. The ABS is a good thickness, it fits together well and the latches are positive. All in all, recommended. I presume it would be an off-the-shelf fit for a Les Paul guitar, but as you can see, with some care, can be made to fit similar shaped single-cut guitars. Can't go wrong for the price.
