As mentioned by another reviewer, this book has some type-o's, and in one recipe for bread part of the instructions were missing. Even so, I have to say that this book has a lot of good recipes and ideas that you can expand on. I am personally an experienced cook, but I am new to the world of pressure cooking. I bought an electric pressure cooker, and needed a book with ideas that get me "jump started". This book did the trick for me. I have had enough experience with cooking that I seldom follow recipes but use them for ideas, and often combine ideas from several recipes. I also seldom measure ingredients except for bread. At any rate, most cookbooks are good for ideas for what ingredients and flavorings can be used in a recipe. This cookbook has a lot of great ideas to get you started using an electric pressure cooker and even if you have been using one for a while. What I really like about this cookbook is that the author doesn't make pressure cooking sound like rocket science. She tells you the basics and how you can adapt your own recipes to pressure cooking. For me, this cookbook took the mystery out of using a new method of cooking that will save me a lot of time for some things. For others, I can't see the benefit of pressure cooking. All in all, I would recommend this book to anyone that is new to pressure cooking with an electric pressure cooker. Many of the recipes sound really good as they are, and others you may want to tweak to your tastes. The whole idea here is to help you to be more creative with a new method of cooking. If you are going to get hung up on a couple of type-o's, you will definitely lose on the benefits this book can provide.
