I don't like spending a lot of time and energy on shining my boots. However, I don't like having scrungy looking boots, either. This little unit is a nice help. The lithium internal battery is charged by a standard micro USB charger, so you don't have to hunt down a special cord to charge it. And it seems to get back to full rather quickly. I gave it a pretty good workout the 1st time, and it charged back in about 10-12 minutes. There are 2 coarse brushes for applying polish and 2 softer buffing pads for the shining part. The parts pop off and pop on very easily, but don't go flying off while the unit is spinning.OK, if you're one of these guys that wants to use his boot as a mirror, I don't think this is gonna cut it for you. But, if you are like me, and just want to get your boots looking nice, this is a quick and easy way to do it. I know, I know, I keep saying BOOTS, but it will work equally as well on shoes. Are there any bad points? I have this quirk where I like to be able to swap out the battery when it finally goes kapoot. You cannot do that with this. But, on the other hand, I have not yet had an internal lithium battery completely die on me yet, and I have been using them a long time in several items, one, notably a Kindle, I have had a decade or more. The instructions don't go into detail, but then, there isn't a whole lot more to be said about it. One thing, the RED light flashes while charging. When it is fully charged it STAYS red, but stops flashing. Confused me for a second, but now that I know, it's OK.I won't say I will NEVER go back to a rag and a brush, but for the most part, when it comes time to shine up the boots or shoes, this will be the unit I grab first.Price is decent, so I don't think you will go wrong if you get this for your shining needs.Keep breathin', people.
